Mr. Ricky Wayne Holmes of Brundidge passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Troy Regional Medical Center. He was 50. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time. He was born October 19, 1966 in Alabama to Thomas Holmes and Barbara Kinard Holmes. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Holmes was a loving devoted father and a hard working, practical man who was loved by so many. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Holmes, Brundidge; sons, Nathaniel Holmes and Jessie Holmes, both of Brundidge; Joey Holmes, Albuquerque, N.M; and Billy Huston, Portland, OR; daughters, Brittany Holmes, Florence, AL; Micheala Huston, Portland, OR; Safire Holmes and Candace Holmes, both of Brundidge; grandchildren, Brianna Hamm, Thomas Hamm III and Anayah Hamm all of Florence; Willow Holmes and Temperance Holmes, both of Tuscumbia, AL; his mother, Barbara Gravitt, Littleville, AL; sisters, Rita Fisher (Terry), Russellville, AL; and Lawanda Gravitt, Littleville, AL
